Michelle Brogdon | End-of-Life Guide, Emotional & Existential Support

A grounded space to face the fear of death—with presence, not panic—and a place for the part of dying no one talks about.

About

My name is Michelle, and this work comes from both personal and professional experience being close to the end-of-life process. Over time, I began to notice that while medical care is often well-supported, the emotional experience of facing death is something many people move through quietly and alone. With a background in hospice care, as well as experience in critical care and supporting individuals navigating medical aid in dying (MAID), this work is rooted in firsthand experience at the end of life. I am also Reiki certified and have training in psychedelic-informed care, which together inform the grounded, presence-based nature of this work. This process isn’t easy—but having a space to be fully met can bring a sense of calm, clarity, and relief. I offer non-medical, spiritual companionship for those navigating fear, anxiety, and existential distress at the end of life. For those who independently choose to use cannabis, I remain a grounded, supportive presence. This work is not about changing the experience—it’s about being present within it, so that no one has to face it alone.

To keep this work clear, it’s important to understand the scope of what I offer. Some clients independently choose to engage in legal, personal practices as part of their process. I do not provide, recommend, or guide the use of any substances. I am not acting as a nurse or healthcare provider in this role. These services are non-clinical and non-medical and are not a substitute for medical or mental health care.

Services

MAID Preparation Session

A private, extended session for those who have been approved for Medical Aid in Dying $500–$900 per session

Designed for those approaching a known end-of-life decision and wanting space to process what that means emotionally and relationally. This session offers time to face fear, reflect on meaning, and give voice to what feels unfinished—without pressure to resolve or move past what is present. This does not involve guidance or participation in the Medical Aid in Dying process. Family sessions available.

Mortality Integration

A private 2.5–3 hour session $575

A grounded space to explore the fear of death, meaning, and legacy—whether you are facing illness or carrying a quiet awareness of mortality. These sessions allow fear, uncertainty, and existential questions to be met with presence rather than avoidance. Some clients may independently engage in personal practices as part of their process. I remain a grounded, supportive presence within clearly defined non-medical boundaries.

Reiki for the Dying

$175 per session
1 hour

Gentle, hands-on Reiki support for non-verbal, bedbound, or actively dying clients. Designed to offer comfort, presence, and ease. May be combined with other services.

Who This Is For

Terminal Diagnosis

Navigating the emotional reality of dying—or carrying a fear of death—and wanting space to process fear, uncertainty, and what feels unfinished.

Personal Practices

Processing themes around mortality, meaning, and identity that arise in your personal practices—including experiences with legal substances—and seeking grounded integration support.

Families & Caregivers

Preparing to witness a loved one’s death and wanting support in how to stay grounded and present through the process.

What This Is NOT

  • Not nursing care: No medical assessments, vitals, or clinical interventions
  • Not psychotherapy: I do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions, and outcomes will vary based on each individual experience; specific emotional or experiential outcomes are not guaranteed
  • Not on-call or crisis care: Sessions are scheduled in advance; I am not available for emergencies. I do not attend or manage the moment of death
  • No substances provided: I do not provide, recommend, dose, or guide the use of any substances

How It Works

  1. Free Fit Call (20 minutes): A brief conversation to determine whether this support feels aligned for you
  2. Intake + Preparation: We clarify intentions, explore what you’re carrying, and prepare for a grounded, supported experience. Clients remain under the care of their medical providers as appropriate and are responsible for their own health decisions
  3. Private Session (2.5–3 hours): An in-home session centered on presence—where fear, uncertainty, and what feels unfinished can be explored openly
  4. Integration Call: A 30-minute follow-up to reflect, process, and support continued grounding
This is not a rushed or clinical environment. It is dedicated time set aside for you to be met exactly where you are.
